I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing. Johns 15:5 We grow through great connections. According to Jesus, growth happens when we "remain in Him". When this happens, our actions begin to look more like His. We become a purer reflection of Jesus Christ. So how does that happen? God’s Word reveals some key truths to Growing in Christ and remaining in Him. WE NEED TO GROW IN OUR RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHER CHRIST-FOLLOWERS The LORD God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him." Genesis 2:18 And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men. Luke 2:52 Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrews 10:23-25 We need each other. God wired us for fellowship or community, and we are better when we are growing in our relationships with other people. WE NEED TO GROW IN OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men. Luke 2:52 Therefore let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity..... Hebrews 6:1 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen. 2 Peter 3:18
